Sauna FAQ's

The first thing you’ll notice is a wave of relaxation washing over you. Your muscles release tension, and that deep, soothing warmth melts away the aches and pains. Regular sessions will leave you feeling refreshed, with clearer skin, improved circulation, and a deep, restful sleep. After your first session, you’ll feel the calming effects almost immediately.

Infrared heat is as safe and natural as it gets. It’s been used in health and wellness practices for years, so we’re just bringing this magic into your routine. Our Sunlighten saunas use Solocarbon technology, a refined heating system used worldwide in spas, gyms, and health centres. It’s nothing like a tanning bed—infrared is totally different from UV rays or microwaves. It’s a safe and effective way to detox, relax, and rejuvenate.

Fresh towels and water are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

We recommend wearing something comfortable like a bathing suit or undergarments while in the sauna. More skin exposed means better results. Also, bring loose, comfy clothes to slip into after. Avoid oils, lotions, or makeup before your session, your pores will thank you. And for safety, leave your jewellery off during your sauna time.

We don’t have shower facilities at the studio. It’s actually best to wait about 1–2 hours before showering, as your pores are open and you’ll want to let your body cool down naturally first. Trust us, it’s worth the wait for maximum benefits.

We love a good tan and we know you do too. Just keep in mind, while our tanning solutions sit on the surface of your skin, sitting in a sauna or sweating it out can cause your tan to fade a bit faster. But if you want to make the most of both, using the sauna at a lower temperature will help keep things in check and slow down the fading process.

We love a good tan and we know you do too. It is not recommended to have a sauna directly before a spray tan as the core body temperature needs to come down prior to any tan application (at home or in studio).

For safety reasons, we do not recommend sauna sessions during pregnancy.

Kids under 12 are not permitted in the sauna. For those 12–18, they can join with a supervising adult, but it’s at their own risk.

Of course! Our sauna fits up to 3 people. If you’d like to bring an extra person, there’s a small additional fee of $15 per person.

We ask for a 3-hour cancellation notice. If you cancel within this time, we’ll credit the session to your account so you can reschedule for a future date.
