Our must-visit luxe Aussie holiday destinations

Our must-visit luxe Aussie holiday destinations

You know when you’re not allowed to do something, it makes you want to do it even more?
Well, that’s how we feel about travelling after COVID ruined all our plans in 2020.
Although it may be a while before we’re sipping Aperol’s in Positano, we are able to explore our own backyard (borders permitting) and lucky for us travel-deprived souls there are some pretty lust-worthy locations right here in Australia.

TASMANIA

When you have a landscape as beautiful as the one that surrounds Tasmania it’s hard to pick just one place that stands up, however, you have to admit that Satellite Island is definitely up there.
Located In the heart of the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, in the south of Tasmania, the extent of Satellite Island’s beauty needs to be seen to be believed.
Surrounded by untouched wilderness, sheer sea cliffs and pebble beaches with sunny coves, it’s hard to believe that we’re lucky to have this piece of paradise in our own backyard.
Perfect for a dream weekend away with your dream partner.

VICTORIA

Ross Farm, located in the picturesque South Gippsland region is our kind of farm! I had to read this a couple of times.
Choose to stay in a beautifully handcrafted cabin, luxurious barn or cosy dairy (or book all three for a wedding or group). If you can tear yourself away from your room (and we totally understand if you can’t), the beautiful Wilsons Promontory National Park is on your doorstep as well as lush vineyards and five-star restaurants that will no doubt tingle every taste bud.
A luxurious weekend away that you well and truly deserve.

QUEENSLAND

Don’t be surprised if you find yourself mixing with an A-list celebrity at the ultra-exclusive and ultra-beautiful Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island.
As the website describes, this luxurious resort is a ‘private world of sensory perfection.’ Choose between a selection of pavilions or go all out on the Beach House, which has its own 12m plunge pool, private sundeck and additional guesthouse.
It’s easy to see why Taylor Swift and Oprah Winfrey have chosen to stay at this slice of heaven in the Whitsundays.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

It was absolutely devastating to see the bushfires ravage this amazing part of South Australia last year. Although we put Kangaroo Island on our list as they are rebuilding the Southern Ocean Lodge and if history has shown us anything, it is a site of immense beauty.
Expansive ocean views sit alongside quintessential Australian landscapes in what is without a doubt a must-see for anyone wanting unparalleled luxury,
Let the pictures do the talking.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

If you haven’t visited Rottnest Island, then do yourself a favour and put in on your list immediately.
Western Australia is not only home to famous sunsets that lower into the ocean, but also home to beaches that dreams are made of.
Once you’ve snapped your quokka selfie (thanks Chris Hemsworth!), take yourself to Samphire Rottnest for some R&R; your biggest decision will be whether to have your cocktail pool or oceanside.
Settle into a white lounge looking over water that is a vividly striking shade of turquoise, then end the day with a massage on the beach before a fresh seafood platter appears in front of you for dinner.
A weekend will never be long enough.

NORTHERN TERRITORY

Longitude101 takes glamping to the next level.
With the breathtaking Uluru in the background, experience the ultimate luxurious red-centre getaway that is like no other.
Explore and learn about the rich history of the area by day, then sip champagne by night under the stars; a truly unique outback experience for those who lust after luxe accommodation.

NEW SOUTH WALES

Located only two hours south of Sydney is the picturesque Dovecote, an ocean-front farm stay that really does give you the luxurious best of both worlds.
With 150 acres of beautiful coastal land to explore, it’s lucky you can retreat to your koi architecturally-designed residence at night to put your feet up in front of the fire and watch the sky turn shades of orange at sunset.
Transfer by helicopter and then make plans for an on-site spa service before heading outside for a once-in-a-lifetime outdoor cinema experience.
Pictures will never do this place justice.
